I was born into Islam and I left it after 27 years of hating myself for being Trans. Islam made me hate myself and tortured me with its archaic tribalistic thought system. Finally, after 27 years of research I realized what you have said in this wonderful article and left it for good. I am more comfortable in my skin today although Islam's indoctrination has made me an outcast in my family and society. Atleast, my wife supports me.
