Serving all animals and plants in nature equates with serving nature. It is our responsibility as the pinnacle of the evolutionary cycle to conserve nature and root for sustainable development. So what is this obsession with cows? And how come there's no mention of other animals or plants or the entire ecosystem that is suffering because of humans? So only cow protection matters I guess.
What is this obsession with Vedic India or the Vedic ecosystem? It was in this very Vedic India that a widowed woman was forced to jump into the pyre of her husband. I guess Sati doesn't cater to the definition of 'wrong' or 'sin' in the so-called 'Vedic ecosystem'.
It is in this very Vedic age, through the Sankrit texts called Vedas that the Caste system was rampant. By which, Dalits became untouchables, Women and Shudras became born for serving Savarnas. Rig Veda 10:90 is the basis of the Caste system. Isn't this de facto slavery?
I appreciate cow protection but hailing some archaic culture that treated fellow humans as de facto slaves is not my cup of coffee. Sorry.
Update: Hate comments based on logical fallacies is no surprise. We have discussed the reasons behind them in our recent article:
